Arthroscopy: Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure orthopaedic surgeons use to visualize, diagnose, and treat problems inside a joint.

Cervical Spine: The cervical spine begins at the base of the skull. Seven vertebrae make up the cervical spine with the eight pairs of cervical nerves.  The individual cervical vertebrae are abbreviated C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, and C7.

Foot & Ankle: Focus is on treatment and surgery specifically in the area of the foot and ankle.

Fracture Specialist: Focus is on extremity fractures and surgery on the areas of the wrist, elbow, shoulder, foot, ankle, knee and hip.

Hand & Upper Extremity: Consists of treatment and surgery of injuries to the hand and upper extremity.  The upper extremity includes the elbow and shoulder.

Joint Replacement: Total joint replacement of the knee or hip is when an arthritic or damaged joint is removed and replaced  with an artificial joint.

Spine: Columbia Orthopaedic Group has seven physicians that specialize in care, treatment and surgery of the spine.  The three areas that make up the spine are cervical spine which are 7 vertebrae in the neck region, thoracic spine which is located in the chest area and contains 12 vertebrae, and lumbar spine which consists of 5 vertebrae in the lower back region.

Sports Medicine: Columbia Orthopaedic Group has seven physicians that specialize in sports medicine.  Their focus is on preventative care, treatment, and surgery for athletes and individuals with sports related injuries.

Pediatric Orthopaedics & Spine Deformities: The focus on this area involves providing spinal care and surgery on adults and children with handicapping disorders and spinal problems.

Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation: Physical medicine and rehabilitation is a non-surgical conservative care of many conditions affecting muscle, nerve, joint, spine or skeletal system and the central nervous system in all age groups.  Physical medicine also consists of doing electrodiagnostic studies frequently referred to as nerve tests.

Of Consulation: One of the founding partners of the Columbia Orthopaedic Group, Dr. Russell serves as a frequent national consultant and medical expert in cases involving legal dispute. His practice focuses on the evaluation and non-surgical treatment of patients with spine related issues.
